VERMICULITE INSULATION REMOVAL

Vermiculite insulation removal can pose significant health risks due to the potential for airborne fibers and dust, some of which may be hazardous. Vactagon drum top vacuums provide a safe and efficient solution for vermiculite insulation removal, especially when paired with the Cyclone separator system. The key to this system’s safety lies in the  Cyclone separator. It works by using centrifugal force to separate the vermiculite and insulation debris from the airflow before it reaches the vacuum’s filters. This pre-separation is crucial because it prevents potentially harmful materials from clogging the filters and being released back into the air.

The Cyclone separator captures the bulk of the vermiculite insulation debris, containing it within the collection drum. This drastically reduces the operator’s exposure to the contaminants during the vermiculite insulation removal process. Meanwhile, the air that passes through the cyclone separator is then routed to the Vactagon drum top vacuum, where any remaining fine particles are captured by the vacuum’s filters. The filtration process is split into two stages: the Cyclone separator and then drum top vacuums with HEPA filtration. These two stages ensure that only clean, filtered air is exhausted back into the environment.

For safe and effective vermiculite and insulation removal that protects both your workers and the environment. Contact Vactagon today to learn more about our drum top vacuum with the cyclone separator system.
